We’re excited to share our Mapuche: Llillan collar, part of the Bonito Dogs collection by Natura Paws. Designed in Australia and handmade by artisans in Northern India, this piece draws from the powerful symbolism of the Mapuche people—Indigenous stewards of Southern Chile and Argentina.

In the Mapuche language, Mapudungun, Mapuche means “people of the earth.” The Llillan, or spider symbol, is deeply woven into their culture. It represents creativity, patience, and the intricate connections between all beings—just as a spider weaves its web, so too do we build our lives in harmony with nature and those around us.

This symbol has long been associated with the sacred feminine, protective energies, and the strength to build and rebuild. By incorporating it into our collar design, we honour that resilience—and pass a little of it on to your four-legged friend.
