🦌 Deer Antler and Its Benefits for Dogs

At Natura Paws, we’re always on the hunt for natural, long-lasting chews that keep your dog healthy, entertained, and tail-wagging happy. One of our favourite all-natural chews? Deer antlers.

Our antlers are sustainably sourced from naturally shed fallow deer antlers in Northern NSW—meaning no animals are harmed in the process. Once collected, they’re carefully cut down by us into size ranges perfect for every pup—from the tiniest chewer to the strongest jaws.

Here’s why deer antlers are a top-tier chew choice for dogs of all sizes:

🦷 1. Natural Dental Care

Deer antlers are tough! Chewing on them helps scrape away plaque and tartar, promoting healthy teeth and gums—nature’s version of a toothbrush.

šŸ’Ŗ 2. Rich in Minerals

They’re packed with natural calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and zinc—essential minerals that support your dog’s bone, joint, and immune health.

🐾 3. Long-Lasting Chew

Antlers are incredibly durable, making them ideal for power chewers. Unlike bones, they don’t splinter, and they last much longer than typical rawhide or synthetic chews.

🌿 4. Odour-Free & Mess-Free

Unlike many natural treats, antlers don’t stink or leave a mess on your carpet. Great for indoor chewing sessions!

šŸ” 5. Responsibly Sourced in Australia

We only use naturally dropped antlers from fallow deer in Northern NSW, so they’re eco-friendly and cruelty-free. Each antler is hand-cut and sorted to ensure the right size and density for your dog.

šŸ• Which Size Is Right for Your Dog?

We cut our deer antlers into five convenient size categories:

  • Small (50–80g) – Ideal for puppies and small breeds

  • Medium (80–120g) – Great for mid-sized dogs

  • Large (120–160g) – For strong medium to large breeds

  • X-Large (160–200g) – Heavy chewers welcome

  • XX-Large (200–240g) – Giant breeds and serious chewers
